Chicago Southland Photo Ops
Travel Inspiration
If you’re always on the lookout for a great photo backdrop, here are a few spots to keep in mind for a little family photo shoot or just a super-cool selfie while on the road.
1. Lake Katherine Nature Center, Palos Heights
Of course, any garden is going to offer a lovely touch of color, but the real stunner here is the waterfall!
2. Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park, University Park
Over two-dozen large outdoor public art pieces are on display to add a bit of pizazz to your shot.
3. Brookfield Zoo Chicago, Brookfield
There are plenty of places on the grounds to snap a pic in the natural surroundings, but add a lion, tiger or bear in the background and it definitely ups your cool factor.
4. Ford Hangar, Lansing
The Ford Hangar is not regularly open to the public. However, with outer brick walls and original windows facing the open parking lot, you’re able to snap some shots against the rustic brick to give a vintage vibe to your photos.
5. King Tin Man, Oak Forest
A selfie with a giant tin man? Who could turn that down? Get just the right angle with this cool guy on top of Kings Heating and Refrigeration, and you’ve got a new profile pic for your social media page.
