Hear It Live!
Travel Inspiration
From big names to local acts, hear live music on stage at several venues in the Chicago Southland. SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview hosts a number of music festivals each season.
The outdoor amphitheater in Country Club Hills is a great place to enjoy up-and-coming and local talent. CD & Me in Frankfort is another hot spot for tribute bands belting out covers from our most beloved entertainers.
There are even more possibilities when you seek out indoor venues, such as those at the area colleges, Governors State University, Prairie State College, Moraine Valley Community College Fine & Performing Arts Center and South Suburban College. Trinity Christian College is the home theatre of the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, and there are plenty of opportunities this season to hear concertos and waltzes by talented musicians.
At Freedom Hall in Park Forest, you can take in a concert by a tribute artist - some have honored such greats as Buddy Holly, Judy Garland and Kool & The Gang. Audiences have also been entertained by local and touring national acts, including the Glen Miller Orchestra.
For more on these venues, see the Arts & Culture section of this site. Also, peruse our events listings at VisitChicagoSouthland.com/Events for outdoor festivals and municipal concert series events happening throughout the summer and fall that feature live music.
