All Things Irish
Travel Inspiration
If you want to feel Irish, but stay in the states, grab a Guinness in Chicago Southland at J.J. Kelley’s in Lansing, or The Carraig Irish Pub located next to Chicago Gaelic Park, an Irish athletic and cultural center in Oak Forest. St. Patrick’s Day is more than a day of celebration in Chicago Southland, as all things Irish are celebrated throughout the month of March including the Chicago Gaelic Park event “Ireland on Parade” building up to St. Patrick’s Day. There’s also the Oak Forest Fleadh, South Side Irish Parade and dyeing of the Lake Katherine waterfall green. Then keep the Irish eyes smiling at Chicago Gaelic Park’s Irish Fest in August, which offers some of the best in Irish entertainment straight from the Emerald Isle. Slainte!
