Mother’s Day is an annual celebration honoring motherhood and the special moms, grandmothers, aunts, sisters and other special mother figures in our lives. Since 1914, Mother’s Day has been an official holiday in the United States. This year, the holiday falls on Sunday, May 12. Have a wild time at Brookfield Zoo Chicago’s Mother’s Day brunch! Head over to the Discovery Center for live music, bottomless mimosas, a gift for all moms in attendance and, of course, an outstanding brunch buffet! Seating times are 9AM, 10:30AM, 12PM and 1:30PM. Add an Irish twist to Mother’s Day this year with a buffet meal at Chicago Gaelic Park in Oak Forest! Chicken Vesuvio, sauerkraut, potatoes, roast beef and more will be available, along with a special children’s buffet and dessert bar. Chuck’s Southern Comforts Cafe in Burbank will host a Mother’s Day Buffet from 10AM to 3PM. Mom can choose between indulgent breakfast items like bananas foster French toast and eggs benedict, or savory lunch staples like BBQ pulled pork or smoked chicken. Reservations are required, so be sure to call 708-229-8700 to save your spot!

If mom would rather stay in, Chuck’s will also be offering catering packages! This $210 package serves 8-10 people and features beef brisket, BBQ pulled pork and smoked ham, plus five side dishes. Swing by Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Palos Park for their annual Mother’s Day brunch buffet. This year’s menu includes breakfast items like skillet breakfast potatoes and Belgian waffles, along with lunch options such as chef-card prime rib, chicken paprikash and more. It comes from the heart if it comes from Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant this Mother’s Day! Stop by the Orland Park or New Lenox locations for a decadent meal perfectly paired with sumptuous wine. Show your mère how much you care with an extravagant brunch buffet at La Voûte Restaurant inside the beautiful La Banque Hotel in Homewood! Experience the classic tradition of tea and the warmth of treasured relationships at this delightful event, crafted to honor the special bond between mothers and daughters in an elegant and charming atmosphere. Add some sweetness to your celebration with Flossmoor Station Restaurant and Brewery’s Mother’s Day Cookie Decorating & Wine Night on Thursday, May 9. On Saturday, May 11 from 10:30AM to 11:30AM and 1PM to 2PM, lemonade, tea, light snacks and desserts will be served. Fun activities will include games and a “Best Hat” contest for both adult and child participants! Pricing is per table ($50 – $60) and a maximum of five guests can be seated per table.
